UE5 Mobile Game Environment - At the End of Time

My first project for module 1 of an MA Game Art course at Escape Studios London, aimed to design a top-down mobile game environment over a 6-week period, with focus on optimization, adhering to specifications of a maximum poly-count of 300,000 triangles and 1024x1024 TGA textures. The environment includes one hallway-style room and a main room, following a realistic art style. My project, titled "At the End of Time", is set in an 1800s clock tower inspired by Big Ben and Westminster Abbey’s Gothic Revival architecture, with a documented workflow that can guide future personal projects.

Throughout this project, I developed skills in Maya, Substance 3D Sampler for more refined materials, Adobe Photoshop for image editing, Adobe Substance Painter for unique textures, Quixel Mixer for trim sheets and modular materials, and Unreal Engine 5.4 for final assembly. The goal was to master each program’s utility in creating a cohesive and optimised game environment not exceeding a 300,000 polycount.

Big help from my amazing tutor and student assistant!
