For this project, I created a short cinematic environment focused on storytelling through atmosphere, lighting, and FX. My goal was to build a realistic scene that feels alive, using motion, particle systems, and dynamic lighting to enhance immersion. I decided to follow an intense car chase sequence in stormy night-time cyberpunk environment. Upon close pursuit from the cops, the Lotus ends up using camouflage abilities and safely hide in an alleyway.
I prioritised strong art direction and reference gathering early on, ensuring the environment has a clear narrative and visual identity. Using modular assets and efficient workflows, I blocked out the scene quickly and iteratively, focusing detail where it matters most, especially in camera-facing areas.
Throughout the project, I aimed to balance artistic quality with technical execution, exploring advanced materials and FX while maintaining performance and scope. The final outcome was a polished cinematic piece that demonstrated both environment design and technical art skills.
